Seeking Input on new Draft of Mission Statement

The SF State Public Administration program is revising our mission statement and would like to get your input on it here and in a face to face session 5 pm Wednesday May 2 in 515 of our offices at SF State Downtown Campus.

Our new NASPAA accreditation standards want us to put emphasis on the public service values we want to address in our program, as well as other issues.

So here is the draft:
The mission of the SF State MPA Program is to enhance individual, organizational, societal and governmental capacity in the public and nonprofit sectors through engaged and innovative teaching, research and service. The focus of these efforts is instilling values, knowledge, skills and abilities to help students provide services that are effective, sustainable and inclusive; to be accountable to the public; and to help achieve equity and social justice in a diverse democratic society.
