Professor Janey Wang Wins Grant to Conduct Research on Development in China

Image Congratulations to Dr. Janey Wang who was recently awarded a $29,000 research grant from the prestigious Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. With principal investigator Dr. John Mikesell of Indiana University, Dr. Wang will analyze the relationship between infrastructure development and economic growth in China. With the grant she travels to China this summer to collect data. This grant is the latest in a string of external research grants that Dr. Wang has brought to the Public Administration program. In 2012 she and Dr. Jennifer Shea won a $25,000 grant from the University of Indiana’s Center on Philanthropy, to study revenue diversification of nonprofit housing organizations. And in 2011 she and Dr. Al Hyde won a $48,000 grant from the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission to analyze debt financing at the state, county, and local levels in California.
